Data Deletion Policy

Thank you for using Birdie Care Log. This document provides information on the deletion of your account and associated data.
1. Deletion of Your Entire Account (Exercising the Right to Erasure)
You can delete your Birdie Care Log account at any time. When you delete your account, all personal data associated with it will be subject to deletion.
Data to be Deleted
Upon your account deletion request, the following data will be deleted from our servers:
- User Information: Email address, hashed password.
- Authentication Information: Authentication credentials managed by Firebase Authentication.
- Pet Profile Information: Name, species, gender, date of birth, profile image.
- Health Record Data: All health-related information you have entered, such as daily weight, food intake, droppings status, medication records, and symptom memos.
- AI Usage Data: Questions submitted to the AI chatbot and input data for AI report generation.
- Purchase Information: Purchase tokens used to manage the status of your Premium Plan.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account from within the App. Please follow these steps:
- Launch the App and tap the "Settings" icon on the bottom navigation bar.
- Tap "Delete Account" in the "Account Management" section.
- Please read the on-screen warnings carefully and proceed through the confirmation steps.
- As a final confirmation, enter the specified text and tap the "Delete" button to complete the deletion request.
Note: Once your deletion request is completed, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently and immediately deleted from our systems. Please be aware that this action cannot be undone, and data recovery is not possible.
2. Deleting Specific Data Only
If you wish to delete only certain data while keeping your account, you can do so as follows:
- Pet Profile: On the home screen, display the target bird, tap the profile card to open the edit screen, and select "Delete".
- Pet's Health Records: From the "Past Records" screen in the App, you can select a date to edit or delete individual record data.
- Voice Data: As stated in our Privacy Policy, voice data from bird call recordings is automatically and promptly deleted after AI analysis and is never stored on our servers.
If you wish to delete other specific data, please contact us at the contact information in Section 4, following the procedure for exercising your rights as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Data Retained After Deletion
Even after your account and its associated data are deleted, some information that cannot identify you personally or is necessary to comply with legal obligations may be retained for a certain period for the following purposes:
- Anonymized Statistical Data: To improve our service, analyze usage, and prevent fraudulent activity, we may retain statistical data that has been processed to be completely anonymized (e.g., number of active users in a specific period, usage frequency of a specific feature).
- Transaction-related Information: To comply with legal obligations. For example, to comply with tax laws, we may retain anonymized transaction event logs (e.g., transaction date, amount, platform) for up to 7 years. This does not include your personal identifiers.
This data is managed in a form that cannot identify you personally and is strictly protected in accordance with laws and our Privacy Policy.

This Policy is provided in Japanese as the original version and may be translated into English for reference. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the Japanese and English versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.
